Filmtec 75GPD osmosis membrane

 

The new generation of FILMTEC membranes has been designed and manufactured by Dow Chemical using new materials and an innovative filtering system while maintaining the same dimensions.

FILMTEC membranes produce 20% more water with just 3.4 bar of pressure compared to other membranes of a similar capacity, tested with a 4 bar working pressure.

Operational parameters:

  • Recommended pressure: 3.5 – 4 bar
  • Maximum operating temperature: 45℃.
  • Minimum concentrate flow rate: 4 – 5 times that of the permeate (lower ratios raise the precipitation rate)
  • Maximum concentration of total dissolved Salts: 500 ppm (use softened water if salinity is higher)
  • Maximum quantity of chlorine that can be tolerated for short periods: 0.1 ppm (total elimination is recommended)
  • Working Ph: 1.00 – 13.00 (high pH levels compromise duration)
